An omnibus volume which collects three early, long out-of-print suspense novels by Robert Bloch. "The Scarf" follows the murderous exploits of a young writer who uses a string of women to get to the top. "The Dead Beat" similarly details another compulsive struggle of upward mobility by a "hep" piano player who cons a middle class couple into opening their home to him. "The Couch" is a novelization of Bloch's screenplay for a 1962 film produced by Blake Edwards. It concerns a crazy killer who is feigning insanity while romancing his psychiatrist's daughter.

Note: the book and slipcase appear new, but there is a little edgeware on the dust jacket. The slipcase is really tight and the wear occured before we could mylar it.
