John Gribbin is best known as "the master of popular science writing" (Sunday Times), with over a hundred non-fiction books to his credit. But his science fiction output, which includes The Sixth Winter, Innervisions andDouble Planet, has also received critical acclaim. He has returned to writing Sf in 2009 after a gap of more than ten years, bringing to his new works of fiction much of the science that is making headlines in the 21st century.

Dr John Gribbin is a Visiting Fellow in Astronomy at the University of Sussex, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, and a long time fan of Buddy Holly. His next novel, The Alice Encounter, will appear from PS in 2010.
