Possibly the finest science fiction series ever written, Gene Wolfe’s The Book of the New Sun has been hailed as one of the field’s most important and enduring works. In this third volume in The Book of the New Sun, Gene Wolfe, Severian takes his post as the Lictor of Thrax, but loses his companion, Dorcas. He deserts his post and goes to the mountains, encountering a terrifying creature called the Alzabo and rescues a young boy who is orphaned in the attack Contains twelve full color, full page illustrations. The Citadel of the Autarch
In the fourth volume of The Book of the New Sun, Severian completes the tale of how he rose from an apprentice torturer to Autarch, ruler of the Commonwealth. After fighting in the war against the Ascians, he encounters the dying Autarch, who urges Severian to eat his brains and thereby gain his memories. Severian then returns to the Citadel and ascends to the throne, discovering the secret that may save Urth from destruction. Contains full color, full page illustrations. Each copy is signed by Gene Wolfe.

The Urth of the New Sun
The fifth volume of The Book of the New Sun. The Urth of the New Sun mostly takes place outside Urth. The book continues Severian's narration of the aftermath of his ascent to the throne and subsequent journey between the suns to be judged and win back the fountain of life that will rejuvenate the slowly dying sun and revive life on Urth. When the book begins, Severian has already rewritten his accounts of before and is beginning his new log aboard the spaceship that will take him to Yesod, an enigmatic planet, home to the godlike beings who have the power to grant Urth and its sun a new lease on life. 

The Castle of the Other
The Sixth volume of the Book of the New Sun, this is actually a book about the Book of the New Sun! 
Please note the slipcase of this book has a wave to the boards, not damage, but if you look at it an an angle or run your hand across it, you can feel the "wave" of the cardboard underneath.
