Raw Dog Screaming Press has reached an agreement with award-winning author Michael A. Arnzen to release Play Dead, his first horror novel in a decade. This gritty gambling tale set in Las Vegas is also a carefully constructed "novel-of-cards" with 52 chapters, one for each card in a deck, plus a joker chapter. The fast-paced story involves a group of homeless gamblers who are playing a deadly game of poker...with photographs of their murder victims. Originally conceived as Arnzen's Master's thesis at the University of Idaho.

The Grim Grimoire Bloodline Series
In June 2004 RDSP launched a limited edition collector's series of books called the Grim Grimoire Bloodline. The books have handcrafted three dimensional covers sculpted out of resin. Only a limited number of copies are created. A specially commissioned bookplate inside the book is numbered and signed by the both the author and the sculptor.

The next volume in the series will be Michael A. Arnzen's novel Play Dead.

Limited: The Play Dead special edition comes with a custom-designed playing card signed by the author and is limited to only 79 copies. It also come with a pack of custom illustrated poker cards and custom wall mount.

Everybody Scream!

Jeffrey Thomas first seduced readers to the world of Punktown through a short story collection of the same name, bending time and technology to create a futuristic world which felt more real than our own. Everybody Scream! continues the seduction with characters every bit as vibrant only this time each person's story collides with the others in a dizzying thrill-ride of a novel.

Each book will be hand-made by the artists at Z Malice & Company who took their inspiration from the book featured in The Evil Dead movies.

The screaming face will be reproduced on each cover in lightweight, durable resin. To get the leather-bound look and feel each book is airbrushed individually. No two volumes will be identical.

This is not the kind of book to hide away in a tray case. Placed on your mantel or coffee table this striking volume makes a fascinating conversation piece. It will certainly be a must-have for any book or horror memorabilia collector.
