Love Bites

Love Bites is an erotic horror story, taking place in the here and now world of Internet relations. A man stuck in a passionless marriage is desperate to bring some fire back into his life. Turning at first to self gratification and then to the Web for satisfaction, he finds what at first appears to be the perfect antidote to the doldrums that he and his wife are going through. He’s reluctant to let his wife know that he is planning a swinging relationship with another couple, yet he and the pair conspire to get things cooking at a impromptu campout. From the beginning, it’s a pretty safe bet that all will not fare well for the novice swingers.

Newman and Gash have constructed a well-written variation on the succubus/incubus legend, yet instead of rehashing the same-old same-old, they offer a fresh outcome to their story. It’s a remarkably assured execution from two young writers, yet I think the successful end result of the collaboration comes from the years of friendship that the two have shared.

Then there is the actual publication from Nocturne. It’s a beautiful little book, with stunning art from Alex McVey.
