With the recent passing of Anne Rice we figured we better take stock in our stock. Checked the website and while there are over 40 different titles/states of Ms. Rice's books on our shelves, there was only ONE title listed on the website. (That is how far we are behind in listing stock!) For example B.E. Trice did a lot of Rice's limited editions, we bought copies directly from his bookstore in New Orleans, to our knowlege he has not done limited editions since his store was devistated by Hurricane Katrina over 16 years ago, that is how long we have been sitting on this stuff! So we figured what better place to start than her most known work, Interview with a Vampire.
Now a note about Interview with a Vampire, the dust jacket is notorious for not holding up, the foil finish on the jacket shows every crease and scratch, consequently while we have four copies on the shelf and given most of what we sell is new or in fine/fine condition we simply never chose to list them. There are pictures of each book described below, if you want more ask, none of the 1st editons are perfect, but they are all solid copies. You will also notice red bleed on the pages edges at the top of the side view, if you don't know, the first edition has red across the top of the pages, that bleed is normal. The one later printing (#4) is the only one whose jacket is in wonderful condition, so don't confuse that with one of the 1st editions.

#1 - A first trade edition with what we would consider a very nice jacket, no creasing other than one corner of the back flap, no chips. The signature was obtained in person years ago by a now deceased friend/customoer of ours back in 2000. (He also got a first British Edition signed for us, we may be listing it, it is one of my favorate jackets). Book itself is solid and tight with little wear to the boards and spine.
#2 - A first trade edition, jacket shows chipping on the top of the spine, rubbing, and creasing to the flaps. inside of the front cover has the previous owner's signature and both front and back endpapers have foxing, page block is nice and tight.
#3 - A first trade edition that we would have to describe much like the first with more chipping and loss of the corners where the jacket folds over the boards, no foxing or previous owners signature.
#4 - A later printing the text was reset for the Anniversary Edition and has 1996 on the title page. Signed on the second front endpaper as pictured (the same location as teh signed slipcased edition). No price on jacket so it is possible it was a BCE of the anniversary edition or simply an anniversary edition (which to our knowledge had no price either) but without a slipcase, but this is about as clean as you can get.
