Here's the story...Necro Publication, was originally going to publish this deluxe edition, originally slated for 26 copies, plus contributor copies, but because of issues beyond Dave's control, the project got shelved, that was in June of 2010.  Camelot was aksed to take it over and in conjunction  with Dave Barnett, GAK and Edward Lee, the book went to print, but because of poor packing and improperly inserted tip-ins by the printer, only 24 books, in total, were produced.  Three of the 24 books are marked as contributor copies with the names "Necro Publications," "GAK," and "Edward Lee" on the limitation page, the remaining 21 books were lettered A to U, we keep A of everything we produce or help produce, so there are only twenty (20) copies of this book for sale, that was in October 2010.

Fast Forward 2018...a customer asked about a copy of Infernal Tours Presents An Illustrated Field Guide to the City Infernal...Kim asks Tony if we have some and a light bulb goes off in Tony's head, "I don't think so, but we do have a stack of the lettered books somewhere!"  After two days of digging we found them, four copies of the lettered book which got put back and behind a shelf, and a stack of the Guides and some original artwork slated for the traycases for the books that never were!

The Production...The books are specially bound with a card insert of the jacket art from the numbered edition inset on the cover, a ribbon marker, seven pieces of special colored art tipped into the book, unique to this edition, a signature page, and a special limitation page.  A second soft cover perfect bound book is included in the traycase, Infernal Tours Presents An Illustrated Field Guide to the City Infernal, a 32 page book, signed by GAK, each page containing a creature, or scene, from the City Infernal world, and a description by Edward Lee under each picture.  This book was only available with this edition of the book.  Both books are housed in a custom handmade traycase.  Matted into the left side of the traycase is an original drawing from the Guide by GAK, which is also signed by GAK.

As mentioned, we do have the extra copies of GAK's original drawings and the chapbook Infernal Tours Presents An Illustrated Field Guide to the City Infernal, a 32 page book, signed by GAK, each page containing a creature, or scene, from the City Infernal world, and a description by Edward Lee under each picture.  Each drawing measures 6 x 9 and comes with a chapbook.

"Necro" - David G. Barnett - You will notice that there are a number of books we are listing that will have the designation of DB, Dave Barnett, David Barnett, Necro, Necro Dave, etc. in the limitation line.  Dave was a great friend of ours, whose life was tragically ended way too short in an auto accident in 2021.  Dave was a book designer (we will be listing a number of books by other publishers which he either designed or were sent to him and they will be designated as listed above) and publisher, his imprints were known as Necro Publications, Bedlam Press and Weird Press Books, among others.  We have acquired his personal collection (and working on getting overstock from his business to his authors (if you were published by Dave and we have not gotten in touch with you please reach out to us at tony@camelotbooks.com) the book listed in this listing is from his personal collection and marked as such.
