In the Tall Grass

In the Tall Grass begins with a sister and brother who pull off to the side of the road after hearing a young boy crying for help from beyond the tall grass. Within minutes they are disoriented, in deeper than seems possible, and they’ve lost one another. The boy’s cries are more and more desperate. What follows is a terrifying, entertaining, and masterfully told tale, as only Stephen and Joe can deliver.

Originally, Esquire published "In the Tall Grass" as part of  "Fiction for Men" series in the summer of 2012. It was published in two parts, the first appeared  in the June/July issue and the conclusion in the August issue. 

Independent Bookstore Day is a one-day national party that takes place at indie bookstores across the country on the last Saturday in April. 

To celebrate, a short story never before published in book form by Stephen King and his son, Joe Hill will be released on April 24th! The ONLY way to get this book is to visit a local Independent Bookstore!

In the Tall Grass was originally published by Esquire magazine and released as a film on Netflix in 2019. Now it will be released as a 5×7 perfect-bound paperback.
