Captain Corelli’s Mandolin is a modern classic, read by millions long before it became a Hollywood film. But few readers will know that a short while after the book was first published Louis de Bernières wrote a further, final chapter to the novel. This recounts how Leutnant Günter Weber returns at the end of the Second World War to the house of Pelagia and Dr Iannis, after the massacre of the Italian soldiers. Weber wishes to explain his part in various events, but the Doctor does not give him the reception he expects.

Tartarus Press has been given permission to publish this unknown final chapter in a very special limited edition of only 350 numbered copies. The book has been hand-set in Perpetua type and printed and bound by hand by Alan Anderson at the Tragara Press. A special full-colour frontispiece has been commissioned and lithographically printed.

Softcover - 18 pages in length
