The iconic fantasy novel from Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman becomes definitive in beautiful deluxe editions published by Dunmanifestin.
First published in 1990, translated into multiple languages and released in numerous editions across the world, Good Omens has spawned a BBC radio series and now a primetime television series from Amazon Studios and BBC Worldwide.
Illustrated for the first time by artist and longterm Pratchett-collaborator Paul Kidby, using a new definitive text, agreed by Neil Gaiman and the Terry Pratchett Estate, these editions represent the ultimate culmination of the imaginations of the UK’s two foremost fantasy authors.
Every edition includes full-colour illustrations by Paul Kidby, who says ‘creating artwork based directly on Terry and Neil’s text has been an enjoyable challenge that I had been hoping to undertake for nearly thirty years.’ The illustrations are faithfully created working directly from the text of Good Omens, the only exceptions being Crowley and Aziraphale who resemble their TV counterparts.
The Ineffable Edition is a large format hardback in a deluxe presentation box, with gold page edges, 19 colour illustrations with additional graphics and pencil images. Limited to 666 numbered copies, each with a tipped-in sheet signed by Neil Gaiman & Paul Kidby. Separate folio of Good Omens ephemera, and a hardback copy of William - The Antichrist, the original short story with a new introduction by Neil Gaiman. This story was shared with Terry Pratchett by Neil and led to them working together to create Good Omens. This red clothbound hardback edition was included in the Ineffable and Celestial editions of Good Omens, 32 pages.
Please note a couple of spots on the "traycase," bottom corner and top side edge as pictured above show some exposed paper.
