A very scarce collection of morbid poems on the subject of death by the contemporary American horror author and reclusive literary cult figure.
Bound in brick red cloth with the title embossed in black on both covers, marbled endpapers, silk ribbon markers, all edges gilt; no dust jacket, as issued.
Small octavo. [88] pages.
Limited to 333 copies, plus this copy has been signed by the author and comes with the "Carpe Diem" pin!
In 2013 Bad Moon Books published its own version of Death Poems, containing the original poems from the 2004 Durtro 1st edition, in addition to ten additional poems. This book was published in two states that we know of, a 300 signed and numbered paperback edition and a 46 copy signed, numbered, slipcased and leatherbound Deluxe edition. Each Deluxe Edition is identified by the title of a Poem, this one being the fourth poem in the book, "Weather Conditions" and contains four handwritten lines (in addition to the title) the first two lines of the poem and two additional lines. A very nice and very scarce edition of this book. The physical size of this edition is twice that of the Durtro edition and measures 8 1/2 x 5 5/8
