• When Subterranean Press published The Best of Philip Jose Farmer, there was to be no lettered state, just the trade and signed slipcased limited. However, they wanted to try out a new traycase maker to see what kind of finished product they did, so decided to do 16 "lettered" states of The Best of Philip Jose Farmer which included lettered and lettered PC copies
• Now, the book itself is the limited state of the book with a letter in the blank on the limitation page. It is the traycase that is unique, and the fact there will only be 16 matching sets.
